Her soft cries echoed off of the walls of the cave, the thundering waterfall keeping her noises from venturing outside. Her now-solomn bodice lowered itself to the smooth, rock floor. Looking at the walls, more tears streamed down her cheeks at the thought of Knight again, how she wished he was here, how she wished to be comforted.
Rose made herself calm down but the tears kept on pouring from her orbs, the thought of him made her want to curl up and be with her beloved, forever. But he was gone...forever.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. BLEEP! BLEEP!
Time’s up, my pretty…
Luc took in a deep breath orbs rolling up in his head as he inhaled, a strange habit of his. It made him look rather ghastly. Fortunately, no one was there to see it. He smirked, then began to compose himself. In less than a minute, he was a Light stallion. Transformation complete. And he would be even better than before.
The ebon stag had been studying the waterfall intently. Lifting his crania, he strode toward it, orbs focused and intent, their gentle brown hue shining gallantly. A cold wind made its way into the terra… Winter was on its way. Luc liked the season. Blood stained the snow in such a lovely, rich hue. You just had to see it. Maybe one day, he’d enjoy a wintry kill. Walking to a nearby tree, he picked up a large leaf that hadd been resting on the ground then returned to the lake. Carefully tossing the broad, orange leaf into the water, he watched as it dipped and swirled about, but did not sink. Slowly, the pull of the waterfall dragged the leaf closer and closer. It was soon sucked beneath the foam. Luc stared intensely at the sheet of water. There! He could faintly make out the blurred image of the leaf behind the water. A triumphant smile worked its way onto his maw and he quietly walked around the edge of the lake.
Knowing the water would be cold, but not really dreading it, Luc slipped beneath the falling water, unknowing of the legend that went with this secret place. He enjoyed the brief feeling of the water pelting unto his back. It was rather like a rough massage. His orbs slowly adjusted to the shadowy, cave-like nook behind the waterfall. He snorted softly, shaking the water from his forelock. When he spoke, his words were soft and gentle.
“Rose? Are you okay…?”
Auds flickered forwards, catching sight of her slumped figure. Fearing something terrible had happened, he rushed to her, daggers tapping against the stone floor.
Wake up to the horrors I have only started
Wake up to this nightmare I have created
...wake up

The approaching of the stag was unknown to her, for the waterfall trapped any sounds and washed them away. She jumped slightly at the sound of his lyrics but then relaxed once more, until Knight came back onto her mind. The tale! No...it can't be. Rose let out a soft gulp, unsure of what she was to do.
Her heart racing, the maiden decided to continue with her first choice. A feeling that she never had...but now there it was. Anger. Anger for him following, the thought of him wanting to comfort her didn't even pop into her mind. Get out of here! Y-you just can't be in here...it-it's...special. By the end of her sentence, Rose had dropped her voice below a whisper.
Rose watched as he rushed to her side, she did her best to scoot away from him, she was too weak in mind to stand. Even more tired than before, Rose gave up and released the tension in her body, her orbs still glued to Luc's, not ready to release her stare until he left her.

A look of pure confusion spread across Luc’s visage. What did she mean? What had he done? Was it something wrong? Apparently so, for she moved away from him as he approached her. Snorting, he halted, watching her. Something was very wrong. But he hadn’t a clue of what it was. The stag swallowed.
“I.. I’m sorry…? Wha-I...um… I’ll leave now… he stuttered, quickly backing away from her. The water chilled him as he darted under the falls and away from the cave.
That had been… surprising. He briefly wondered what it had been about. Something Light probably… Something that was of no matter to him. Perhaps the best choice was to act saddened and confused. That would be easy. And it would probably work too.
Shoulders slumped, Luc plodded over to a maple tree that had been striped of all its leaves for the coming winter. Sighing deeply, he laid down, curling his forelegs under him, back facing the waterfall. The distant roar echoed in his auds. His dark amber orbs were hidden, thoughtful and lonely.

At his words, Rose was calmned, he was leaving her. But does it matter? Does it still count? Are we now destined? She asked herself, wondering what the answer would be. Her form remained on the floor, soaking in it's earthly coolness, her mind reflecting on the past few moments.
She just lay there for a few moments, re-collecting herself, gathering her senses once more. Rose finally stood, ready once again to face the outside world. This time, she would put her past behind her, never to haunt her again. With that thought, she walked wobbly towards the cave's exit, then more sturdy, her legs once again firm. Passing through the water, Rose felt as if she had been clensed, washing away all sad and horrifying memories.

Luc’s auds did not catch the sound of Glass Rose exiting the waterfall’s hidden cave, so deeply had he sunk into past memories. At least, that was how it seemed… Sighing, a small wind whipped in around him, chilling him. He snorted, drawing up his legs closer against his body for warmth. The winter season had come in with a bang. He knew that it would possibly snow in the next couple of weeks or so. His coat had already grown out quite a bit during the last month, providing warmth for the upcoming days of coldness. Luc had not seen any herd members yet, but he expected to met some of them, and Amulet, before their time was over.

OOC: Me back! Yay! Sorry for the wait, Thanksgiving was a nightmare.
His ebony coat drew her orbs in for a moment, she watched him standing alone 'neath a tree, saddened. What have I done? She asked herself, guilt overcoming her. Unable to draw herself to him, Rose let out a soft call, I'm sorry Luc, I over-reacted. Her voice was soft and even the queen wasn't sure if her call would travel to him.
OOC: No muse either...yuck.

Auds dully twitched backward, catching the faint call of Rose. He snorted softly, raising his dial. Orbs were hopeful, hoping that she would forgive him. The ebon stag rose to all fours. He turned towards the alabaster femm, walking slowly to her, strides hesitant.

Femme watched as the raven stallion came towards her, she looked down to her hooves, unsure of how to state her apology. Simple. She decided, plain and simple. I'm sorry for acting up...it's just what I've been told... She drifted off again, her mind whirring, wondering possibly how she could make herself stop feeling guilty.

What she'd been told? What could that possibly mean? he thought, the slightest bit of confusion still showing in his orbs. But Luc did not question her further. he had not wish to make her even more unhappy than what she seemed now. Crania lifted, his deep brown orbs locked onto hers.
"And I in turn, am sorry for intruding. I admit that I had no right to, Rose."
His voice was solemn and quiet. A sigh shuddered through his black bod, a cold, chilly wind blowing into the terra. Had he not had his winter coat, he would have been freezing, for the temperature had dropped dramatically during the past days. It was truly winter.
Luc was pleased with the progress that had been made. if only he would somehow speed it up. But he knew that it was but wishful thinking. he may have just ran into a bump here, but he was sure that it would be smoothed out in no time.

A light sigh was released from her mug as his words registered in her brain, he hadn't known of the tales of the waterfall, he was totally clueless; He thinks that I'm just yelling at him for no reason, he thinks I'm psycho. Rose thought to herself glumly. The alabaster female glanced into his orbs quickly, gazing into their depths for a moment before staring at her hooves once more. Mumbling softly, just loud enough for Luc to hear, her lyrics flowed freely You didn't know... I shouldn't have yelled... Her pearly coat faced his ebon one, total opposites, in the same area, just inches away from one another. The mare wanted comfort, she thought of Knight, but it only hurt her heart to think of him. She looked to Luc for a moment but then looked away once more, He only wants to be friends.

Look out… You time has come Once and for all You’ve met your match
His great, black crania was nodded at her words, accepting her hidden apology. Flicking his dial to the side, he tossed his forelock to the side, shaking his heavy mane. Finally, the arch of his boa was lifted it its proper position, the cold wind edging further into the seemingly desolate land. The tangled mess of his whipcord encircled about his hind pillars, causing him to snort and shift is weight. After a considerable time of silent though, Luc’s orbs were cast into the eyes of the pure while femme, reeling her in slowly.
”Rose…let us put this behind us now. I believe we have both been forgiven. Now, let us speak of better things.”
As if fighting to be the strong one, he pulled on a smile, reaching forwards to nudge the side of her visage very gently. His caring orbs trying to work up their familiar twinkle. A harsh breeze pushed out of the woods, flattening his shaggy winter pelt with its force. But Luc stood firm, attention still focused on Glass Rose.
You will fall… This little game we play is gonna bring you down Only one of us will wear the crown.

At his words, Glass Rose began to feel ashamed, embaressed, she should have been the one that put a halt to the apologies and the tense moments. Her rambling thoughts ceased as her gaze was drawn into his, it was like a vortex, she was mesmerized, no escape. She just gazed into their depths, as if all of her problems had just been washed away, forgotten forever. The signs of his smile drew one upon her own mug, Let us not think of this incident once more. She thought to herself, pleased that she had come to that conclusion.
