No herd of her own, the chestnut mustang slowly made her way across the creek. Feeling it's cold water against her knees, she swayed there a while. Her mind buzzed of the recent happenings of her life.. He died. Her ownly love. Xandir. The one stallion who had watched over the orphaned mare. Of course, they were only yearlings then. Three years of being together.. Now, Phoenix was alone. Again. Water flooding her own pools, she closed them. With a deep sigh, she forced herself to regain control; push away the self-pity. The constint thoughts of suicide. It was time for a new life. But, would she follow the ways of the mares before her? Seek out a herd. A stallion. No.. She couldn't. She couldn't go through that again. Not again. She would remain homeless until she was ready. Until she was ready. ((Not sure if we can have slaves, but she'd be an interusting one. ))

OOC: Slaves are allowed...but Barro is coming! ;D I need to find a new name for him....
His deep red coat burned brighter than ever, his creme mane shone against the auburn back-drop. The stallion was wandering, getting some alone time as he normally did, it was nice to get away from the noisy others, just escape from the rest and think. Think of your past, the day, the future.
Barro spotted the chestnut coat of another equine, whether it was another stag or a homeless mare, he knew not. None could tell from this far away. The deeply colored stallion decided to go meet this other being, maybe they could have a decent chat. So, Barro trotted towards the unknown form whom he soon came to find out was a mare, coming to a slow halt before her, Barro dipped his regal crown. 'Ello mi'lady. Out for a stroll? He asked, looking around, the weather was nice, a perfect day.

Tossing her eyes toward the one who had spoken, it didn't register to Phoenix that he was refering to her. Then, the realization came. Staying without emotions, for they were to painful to express, she spoke in a bored, tierd tone. "Actually, I am meerly exploring my home. For you see, I live here. Alone and in peace with the silence that comes with these roaming lands. I believe, you are the only one "strolling"." She ment her words as friendly, not invoking mockary. She was not like that in the way she treated others. She was a decent one, of mannors and logic. However, respect was something every had to earn from her, for she would not be fooled by the gentle touch of another creature. Watching him from the water, as he stood there on the bank not too far from her, she waited patiently for his response.

His orbs lit up in surprise as he heard her words, a smile creased his maw and his orbs twinkled with amusement. Barro parted his labrums to let out his deep, bass vocals. Well, I'm sorry for wandering onto your 'home' but I must ask what your calling is. I'm Barro. The stallion smiled as he awaited her response.
OOC: bla bla bla...rambling...no more muse...= P

Slowly the mare started toward the shoreline. Each step wadded the water around her knees, causing ripples to dance on the miniature waves created by her movement. Now facing him, the water around her became shallow, only to the tops of her hooves. "If you must, Barro. My calling is that of Heavenly Phoenix. Though, I allow 'Phoenix' for haste." Pools twinkled for a brief moment before turning dull once again. She would not allow herself to be entranced by this stallion.

His smile grew as he heard her calling, Phoenix, what a beautiful name... He thought to himself, but this cheerful stag's grin faded as he saw her orbs dim once more. It seemed as if she were trying to be careful around him, cautious, aware. Barro knew not what it was, sometimes... mare's were just that way. The auburn stallion looked into the pool silently, his own reflection staring back up at him. Finally, he had seen himself, it had been many a day since he had looked into the water to see himself, to see his features.

((Sorry I've been away. Homework didn't allow me the chance to post...... >.<))
Watching him in silence, Pheonix looked over his features. He looked so much like Xandir.. So much like her old flame. No... She closed her eyes in defeat. This wasn't Xandir. This was a stallion of a different dubbance. Gaining control over the violent urge to drown herself, she steped out of the cool water and onto the bank.
((GAG! -stares blankly at short post-))
