Drink it all up It's the last you'll ever taste Don't write, I won't miss you You're life was such a waste Kahlua
Earth flew as the minx made her way to the claiming grounds. With each stride her heavy hooves dislocated a chunk of ground and tossed it carelessly into the air. Running....running.......to where? She asked herself. For what? Maybe for nothing. Or maybe for everything. The rising sun to her right glistened on her black body and the rushing wind from her flight lifted her cream colored threads. Her powerful muscles rippled beneath her skin as she ran. It was close now. She could feel it. With a leap she crossed the invisible border into the place called Lonely Meadows.
She slid to a stop and stood, breathing heavily and taking in the landscape. Good enough for the time being. God forbid, hopefully a stag would come for her soon. She filled her lungs time after time and eventually her breathing slowed to a regular pace. Brown optics shielded slightly by heavy lashes were alert as she lowered her dial to the tall jade stalks. She tore a mouthful and took a few steps forward. She repeated this process a couple of times and then lifted her head. Now she walked quietly into the very center of the lands, waiting. She let loose a scream to the heavens, one that told of freedom, spirit, and loneliness.
You made my life miserable I'll just return the favor Pick the drink up from the table Your thoughts should never waver Goodbye Kahlua

The dark auburn stallion heard the femme's call and thought for a moment. Did he want to remain a bachelor or should he give a shot at trying to make a herd. A herd meant dealing with others, whether he liked them or not. Barro trotted towards the call, his decision now made, he was to start a herd if he was sucessful in claiming this mare, if he wasn't Barro would post pone his thought for another day.
His muscular pillars carried him towards the lone mare, his orbs fixed 'pon her face, studying her individual features. Barro came to an abrubt halt a few yards away from the mare, making sure to give her plenty of space so she wouldn't feel pressured or uncomfortable. Dipping his mug in respect, Barro spoke, his voice almost rusty, yet with a coat of menthal over it. Hello miss. I be Barro, may I have the pleaure of knowing your beutiful calling? The stallion asked, his orbs gazing into hers softly.

Kahlua turned to find a stag behind her. He was a good few yards. Plenty of room for her if she needed to make a run for it. Or charge. He only asked her name though, and with plenty of care shining in his eyes. What harm could he cause? Lots of it. Her mind told her. When you're not expecting it. Nevertheless Kahlua found herself relaxing and dropping her guard in the gaze of this stallion. Barro....
She took a step forward as if in a trance. Anything to be nearer to those caring eyes. Gentleness that she hadn't felt in quite a while was now being offered freely to her and she wasn't going to pass it up this time.
*I am Kahlua. Quite pleased to meet you. I was beginning to think I was the only one here.*
She smiled slightly at Barro. So charming he was. Most found her mixed up coat and threads strange and went so far as to call her possessed. Not many saw the true beauty in her, for not many tried. Perhaps this stallion would take the time it took to discover the treasure within her.

Barro smiled to her as she stepped foward, it was her choice to step closer, he would not encroach on her lands unless invited. Auburn coat tightened softly around his frame before relaxing once more, just a habit of his when he was... well, nervous. As hard as it seemed to tell, yes, Barro was nervous. This was his first encounter with a mare since who-knows-when. When he heard her melody, Barro just listened and continued to remain in an eye-lock.
Well Kahlua, if it's alright I may call you by that, you have no worry for there are quite a few across these lands, and I'm afraid that some of those must be darks. I can sense their power surging in a cage, waiting for the oppurtunity to escape and grab hold of the lights. I fear for them, but there is nothing we can do until the time comes... The stallion thought the rest to himself, he was so surprised that he had spoken that much at once, Barro was normally a quiet fellow who kept to himself and just was thinking. But today was different.

(((I'm SO Sorry!! I was gone unexpectedly and I couldn't get on! Please forgive me!)))
Kahlua knew all too well the power of the darks. The fact that there were a few in hiding now did not surprise her. She did not fear darks, yet she was not too excited about that knowledge. Her thoughts right now were a little....preoccupied. Barro..... The name rolled of her tongue so easily and replayed over and over in her mind. She like it. Was it possible he would take her back to his herd with him? A glimmer of hope played within her.
*Indeed that is so Barro. But I do not fear the few darks that cover their faces and hide from the truth. However as you say, it will not be long before they show themselves, and there is no doubt that there will be a previously made plan, and I promise it will bring nothing but trouble for all of us.*
Her eyes shone in the few rays of light. As if the sun's departing beams caught in her eyes and was trapped behind her colorful gaze. What a marvelous day for her. She had never been happier to just be with someone.

OOC: Meep...forgetful me! Sorry!
Stud nodded as he took in her lyrics, his posture was strange for a stag, he stood the at the same height as the mare, for Barro wanted to do his best show manners. Some stallions didn't even seem to know what the word 'manner' meant, but this one did.
Please forgive me if I do seem pressuring, but are you, miss, looking for a home? He stood there and watched her for a moment before turning in the opposite direction she stood. Barro began grazing for he felt that the mare should have some time to think over her answer, so, he waited.
OOC: No muse
